Pillows, Pancakes, and P.J.’s event

Just a reminder that our Pillows, Pancakes, and P.J.’s event will be held on Monday Feb 6^th from 5:00-7:30.  Please come if possible, it helps our school earn extra reading minutes by the thousands.  We need to read 930,000 minutes as a school to earn our movie day with a treat, along with our free dress day and pie throwing.  Parents are welcome to drop off their student or volunteer to stay and help, students will be put in a group with a group parent and rotate rooms and be read to.  Please sign in and out in the elementary foyer.  See you there!!!

Levi Day

On Friday, February 3rd, we will be having a levi/shirt day.  This day is being sponsored by our POEC.  The cost to wear levis and the shirt is $1.00.  The money earned will be designated for field trips.  Every grade will receive the money that that grade earns for field trips.    Please send your student's $1.00 on Friday and we will collect the money in the classroom.  We are asking the following:

1.  Screen prints on shirts cannot display items that are illegal i.e. alcohol ads, tobacco ads, etc.

2.  Shirts are appropriate to wear to school

3.  Shirts can have game/team names, etc

4.  Please no baggy/saggy pants

reading to students and Russell’s Ice Cream!!!

Along with reading students can get sponsors to benefit themselves and the SAA Library—our school goal is $5,000

Monday Feb 6 from 5 – 7:30p.m

Wear your p.j.’s to school, eat pancakes and have a reading party with storytellers.  Bring a book to read and a pillow to sit on.

Early morning reading every Tuesday

Come early to school on Jan 24^th, 31^st, Feb 7, 14th   from 7:30-8:15 for early morning reading.  A snack will be provided; you can bring an additional snack to add to it.  Help us earn additional minutes for our contest.
