Art Contest


Syracuse Arts Academy is once again proud to announce the art
contest of the year!  All children -are encouraged to submit
a drawing for the front of the 2011-12 yearbook.

The theme for this year is anything that is related to
Syracuse Arts Academy.

Due date is January 3rd.

This is a great way to spend your holidays!

Choir

Come sing in the holidays at the SAA elementary school choir concert on Wednesday, November 16th and Thursday, November 17th at 7pm in the elementary school gym.  Doors will open at 6:15 and tickets are 3 dollars a seat.  3 and under are free.  There will be no pre-selling of tickets for this event.  This is a great opportunity to support your classmates and the POEC in their performing and fundraising efforts.  In addition, it is a GREAT concert and FUN way to start the holidays!


INFORMATION FOR PERFORMERS
Dress Rehearsal: Monday, November 14th from 3:30-4:30 in the elementary school gym.

School Assembly: Tuesday, November 15th at 2:30.  Please have your child wear their concert dress to school.  Audition choir please bring your clothing in a bag to change in to. (Beginning choir and concert choir - blue pants/skirt and white polo/shirt.  Audition choir - black pants, black short-sleeved t-shirt, dark shoes and socks)

Evening Performances: Wednesday and Thursday November 16th and 17th at 7pm in the elementary school gym.  Please have your child at the school by 6:30 in concert dress.  Audition Choir will meet in the k-3 hallway, Beginning Choir will meet in the 4th grade hallway and Concert choir will meet on the elementary school stage.  Doors will open at 6:15 and tickets are 3 dollars a seat.  3 and under are free.

Barnes & Noble


Mark your Calendars for Sat. December 10th.  You won’t want to miss all the fun at our fundraiser held at Barnes and Noble in Layton.  Come get your Christmas Shopping done and support the school at the same time!

If you have any Christmas RIBBONS, BOWS, GIFT TAGS, or CHRISTMAS CARDS we are in need of donations for our Barnes and Noble fundraiser. Please bring any donations you have to the JR. HIGH library. We will accept donations until Dec. 10th .  The Christmas cards are being used so children can write cards to soldiers during the event at Barnes and Noble.  It is for a great cause, if you even  have one or two left from a box that would be awesome.
