Fund Raising - Easy Money

Dear Parents,

As part of our fund raising practices, we make efforts to find ways of raising extra money for school programs without placing the burden on the students.  One of the most effective ways we have found is the Smith's Earn & Learn program.  It is very simple for all involved.

Enroll or Re-Enroll Today
If you shop at Smith's, take the barcode letter in to the store and have them scan it, together with your Rewards Card.  This process links your purchases to our school and we receive a portion of $1,000,000 that Smith's sends to schools.  This process needs to be repeated annually beginning August 1st.

*  You enroll by taking your Rewards card to a Smiths store with the attached Letter.
*  You can enroll online!!  www.SmithsFoodAndDrug.com

The More People, the Greater the Benefit
This past year, over 100 people linked their card to our school, and yet the school received over $1,400.  Imagine how well we could do if each household were to sign up.

Get All of Your Acquaintances Involved
Please forward this letter to all of your friends, family, and acquaintances in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, and New Mexico.  Ask them to forward it on behalf of your student here at Syracuse Arts Academy.  Facebook it, if you want!  The more who participate on behalf of our school, the better.

Thank you for your support of Syracuse Arts Academy!

Dollar Jean Day

Many of you may have heard that we are trying out a new and exciting fundraiser that not only is fun for the kids, but benefits the POEC fundraising efforts.  On Friday September 9th students may pay $1 in cash or $1 in box tops and blue jeans instead of their normal uniform pants.  Because this is a trial run to see how the students and react and behave with such an event we are only allowing jeans and all students must continue to wear their uniform dress shirt.  On Thursday we will have volunteers outside of each school to allow students and parents to pre-purchase wrist bands for Friday's Dollar Jean Day.  Any student that pre-purchases a wrist band will not need to worry about getting one on Friday, but they must have the band on their wrist to qualify on Friday to wear jeans.  On Friday we will again have even more volunteers outside of each school to continue to collect dollars or $1 in box tops.  In order to speed things up outside the school we will be stamping kids hands to instead of putting on wrist bands.  Students can begin to purchase the bands on Thursday or receive the stamp on Friday starting at 8am and we will continue to sell until the bell rings and the students are invited inside.   The POEC will be screening the students to make sure they are wearing the appropriate clothing before they enter the school.  We are hoping that all students understand what the dress code will be and we need your help to make sure they follow the guidelines.  Students that are not wearing the appropriate jeans or do not have the $1 will be sent to the office to call home.

Students are allowed to wear BLUE jeans.  Not black, brown, white or any other color.  Blue jeans must NOT be overly baggy, have holes in them or be considered as "skinny" jeans.  If they would prefer not to pay the dollar then they can wear their normal school uniform.  Teachers may also wear blue jeans by paying the dollar or giving a $1 in box tops.

Thank you for helping the POEC make this fundraiser be fun and a huge success!
If you have any questions please contact Brody or Stephanie at the emails listed below.
Thanks and we hope to make this a fun event for all.
